Snow, sleet and freezing rain will make for slick roads in the Ozarks as the day goes along Friday, especially impacting the lunch hour and your drive home.
The National Weather Service says in the Springfield metro area, we’ll see around 1/2 inch of snow and sleet, with .10 to .15 inches of ice.
Farther south, along the Missouri and Arkansas border, ice accumulations of up to .20 inches are possible, with central Missouri seeing more snow and sleet, with two to four inches.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for all of southwest Missouri until late Friday night, with the precipitation moving out later in the evening.
