There’s heightened security today around Conway Schools in Laclede County after officials say a student made a threat.
Deputies are on campus at Laclede County R-1 Schools although classes are going on as usual.
The Superintendent says a junior high student potentially made a verbal threat about having a gun. Officials have since spoken with the student and the student is cooperating.
A phone message was sent to parents informing them about the situation and letting them know authorities found no evidence of an imminent threat.
