The Kansas City Royals have reportedly been sold to Kansas City businessman John Sherman.
The Royals and MLB confirmed the team has been sold to Sherman and a group of investors.

USA Today reporter Bob Nightengale first reported the deal is for $1 billion dollars, and could be approved by the MLB owners as soon as November.

Sherman is a minority owner of the Cleveland Indians.
He would have to sell his stake in the Indians before he could buy the Royals.
Royals owner David Glass, who’s 84, reportedly wants to sell the team because of health reasons.
