Highway 65 has officially be opened up to three lanes in both directions between Evans Road and Highway CC/Highway J between Springfield and Ozark.
MoDOT says as of 2 a.m. Friday, the third lane southbound was opened.
Traffic Impacts:
- Use caution when changing lanes
- Be alert for new traffic patterns
- Southbound right-lane of Route 65 becomes exit only lane at Christian County Route CC/J
- All new lanes of Route 65 open to traffic – three lanes in each direction between Christian County Route CC/J and Evans Road between Ozark and Springfield
Project Summary:
- Widen Route 65 to six lanes, three lanes in each direction, between a point south of Evans Road and Christian County Routes CC/J to continue the progress to six lane Route 65 south to Ozark
- Widen and rehabilitate southbound Route 65 bridge over Farmer’s Branch south of Evans Road to accommodate new lanes
- Rehabilitate Evans Road bridge over Route 65 — COMPLETE
- Prime contractor: Millstone Weber, LLC of St. Charles
- Estimated total project cost: $10.2 million
