The Army Corps of Engineers is reviewing a study submitted by Missouri, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska, to identify spots along the Missouri River that could heighten flooding problems.
Roger Hugenberg from Canton is a member of a state flood recovery work group. He says members must focus on prevention instead of reaction.
Hugenberg says the group should not put neighbor against neighbor or community against community.
Governor Parson said 1.2 million acres of Missouri farmland have been damaged by this year’s floods.
The group includes members from state and federal agencies and several Missouri agriculture organizations.
