Mid Continent Steel and Wire in southeast Missouri has made a major staffing boost since it was given tariff exemptions in March.
The company waited more than nine months to get the federal government to waive an additional 25 percent tariff on steel it imports from its company in Mexico.
Operations Manager Chris Pratt at Mid Continent Steel and Wire says that when you lose workers like that it, it hurts the trust they have in the company to have their back.
