Climate strike protesters weren’t kept from the downtown by rain on Sunday.
Participants applauded speakers and held signs saying things like “vote for the planet” as they protested anti-climate behavior.
Rally members said that being politically active was a major part, as well as letting local legislators know that climate was important to them.
The Springfield rally was in conjunction with a larger global event to raise awareness.
