Springfield Police engages in a high speed chase through two counties early Sunday morning.
Officers first approached the suspect’s vehicle in a Walgreens parking lot on Battlefield early Sunday morning after getting a welfare check call. When officers got near the car, the person sped away and hit two patrol cars in the process.
The 100 mph chase went through Greene and Polk counties before the driver and a passenger were arrested by Polk County deputies. No one was injured.
