State Auditor Nicole Galloway has released an audit of Barry County, recommending several changes to the county.
Galloway recommended better accounting processes in the Sheriff’s office and better digital security for the County’s records in general.
The audit of the Sheriff found that some receipts were not accurately accounted for and some bank accounts were not properly reconciled.
The full report gave the county an overall rating of “fair.”
