Showers and thunderstorms will move into the Ozarks overnight after around 3 a.m. Tuesday and continue through Tuesday morning.
The National Weather Service says some of the strong may bring golf ball size hail and damaging winds of 60 miles per hour.
The tornado threat is low.
Some flooding will also be possible, with a band of one to two inches of rain between Highway 54 and Interstate 44.
Areas west of Springfield have the best chance of getting severe weather.
