Governor Parson says Missouri National Guard troops will head to Washington, D.C. soon to help with unrest from protesters.
Parson did not say how many National Guard troops would be sent to the nation’s capitol.
But he says it should happen in the next day or so.
Parson says 1,000 National Guard troops have been on the ground in places like Kansas City and St. Louis since the weekend.
Parson says another 1,500 to 2,000 troops will be activated over the next several days.
