Legendary St. Louis Cardinals player Lou Brock died Sunday afternoon after struggling with years of medical conditions.
The St. Louis Post dispatch reported his death late Sunday afternoon.
He is remembered as one of the greatest leadoff hitters in baseball.
Brock joined the Cardinals in 1964 after a trade with the Chicago Cubs.
In the 1967 World Series, Brock had a batting average of .414 and in the 1968 World Series, an average of .467.
