Long lines greeted voters arriving at polling locations in the Ozarks Tuesday morning.

We’ve also had several reports of voting issues in Christian County. County Clerk Kay Brown says a glitch in the electronic polling pads caused the delay.

Workers have had to fix the problem precinct by precinct, but all indications are things were back to normal at most locations by 8 a.m.

Brown says voters could still cast a ballot, but they had to sign their name in a notebook instead of on the poll pad.

We’ve heard from voters in cities outside Springfield reporting historically long lines, including a polling location on Hines Street in Republic and in Battlefield at the First Baptist Church.

While many are trying to maintain social distancing, there are some lines that don’t appear to have much separation between voters standing in line.

Patience will definitely be the name of the game on this Election Day with historic turnout and long and winding lines.
