Governor Parson has appointed Allen Icet the new Greene County Collector.
Icet once served western St. Louis County in the Missouri House.
He takes over for Leah Betts, who resigned after the county ran into problems issuing personal property tax bills.
Betts says a software glitch caused the problems between her office and the Greene County Assessor.
She says she told county leaders that a software upgrade was needed before it happened, but they didn’t act.
Today Missouri Governor Mike Parson appointed Allen Icet to the office of Greene County Collector. Icet fills the position left vacant by Leah Betts who announced her resignation earlier this year. Learn more at: https://t.co/VMdRc6pYQS pic.twitter.com/vIdsuKNDMM
