Police have identified the driver of a pickup who died in a crash Saturday in Springfield.

James Lane, 70, from Springfield died Saturday when his pickup ran off the road at Orchard Crest and Junction and hit several trees.

On June 5 at 5:33 p.m., officers responded to Orchard Crest & Junction after a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by James R. Lane (70 yo) left the roadway and struck several trees. Lane was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. https://t.co/rmVQJTAGbM pic.twitter.com/Na7crgkFIe
