The Ozark Empire Fair is in full swing in its 85th year in Springfield.
It opened Thursday afternoon.
General Manager Aaron Owen says the fair will focus on public safety with hand sanitizer stations and a less compact setup that will keep fairgoers safe during COVID-19.
Owen says his favorite part of running the fair is the smiles he sees each day.
The Ozark Empire Fair will be open every day through August 7.
