(KTTS News) – A pedestrian was killed Wednesday evening in Miller County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says that 20-year-old George Cook was standing in the westbound lane of Business 54 near Eldon when he was struck by a vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle attempted to brake and swerve to miss Cook, but was unsuccessful.
Cook was transported to a local hospital where he died.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
