(KTTS News) — A band of snow is moving through the area this morning bringing moderate to heavy snowfall.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until noon for most of the Ozarks.
The National Weather Service says up to 3 inches could fall in some places.

Thursday, Jan 12 – 6:20am: Numerous slide-offs/accidents are being reported across portions of central MO this morning. The snow that caused these hazardous conditions will continue to spread south and east this morning. Use caution and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Some of this will melt as it falls, leaving lighter slushy accumulations.
The snow will be gone by early this afternoon.
