(KTTS News) — Former Springfield Police Officer Mark Priebe is retiring from the force.
Priebe was injured in the line of duty in June 2020.
Jon Routh is charged with intentionally running over Priebe with his SUV outside police headquarters, leaving him paralyzed.
The Springfield Police Pension Board recently approved Priebe’s disability retirement.
Priebe plans to work as a school security specialist for the Republic School District.
Priebe started with the Aurora Police Department in 1996.
He came to the Springfield Police Department in 1999.
