The crackdown has begun. Netflix has begun its efforts to stop password sharing. Customers started receiving emails on Tuesday with the simple message “Your Netflix account is for you and the people you live with – your household.”
The email also contains information on how to transfer a profile and establish a new account to continue accessing Netflix. Just $7.99 per month.
The move was announced over a year ago with Netflix beginning the crackdown in South America and overseas. How many accounts have shared their passwords? 100 Million – so it’s not surprising that Netflix is making the move.
