(KTTS News) — Strong winds and heavy rain knocked out power and downed trees across the Ozarks Friday night.
A big shelf cloud was spotted in Springfield as storms moved through the area after 8 p.m.
The storms dumped torrential rain in the Springfield metro area.
Damage was reported from southeast Kansas to areas southeast of Springfield along the Missouri and Arkansas state line.

Storms are expected to clear out of the area on Saturday, giving way to hot and dry conditions next week.
