(KTTS News) — There’s a new mayor in Willard.
The Board of Alderman elected fellow Alderman Sam Baird to fill the job.
It comes after Mayor Sam Snider resigned before facing an impeachment hearing.
Snider fired the newly hired city administrator back in September.
The Board of Aldermen rehired the interim city administrator Monday night.
Baird says he won’t run for mayor in 2024, but the former mayor, Sam Snider, says he will.
Corey Hendrickson, a former alderman, also resigned last week after pleading guilty to embezzling $300,000 from his former employer, Prime Trucking.
The city is now looking for another alderman.
