(KTTS News) — The U.S. Department of Education is withholding more than $7-million in payments to a Missouri student loan company over billing statement errors.
The federal government says MOHELA, the Missouri Higher Education Loan Authority, failed to send billing statements on time to 2.5 million borrowers.
That left more than 800,000 people delinquent on their loans.
