(KTTS News) — Record breaking temperatures were recorded in a couple of places on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service says Springfield reached 83 degrees, breaking the old record of 80 set in 1980.
Rolla/Vichy hit 83 degrees, breaking the old mark of 79 set in 2005.
West Plains tied the old record of 81 degrees set back in 1975.
And Joplin hit 82 degrees, falling just short of the record of 83 degrees set in 1980.
