(KTTS News) — A man from St. Louis gets five years probation in connection with the shooting death of a Springfield teenager.
21-year-old Justin Bartels pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence in the shooting death of 18-year-old Lavelle Rose at Calhoun and Forest.
Police did not think Bartels was the shooter but did think he helped the shooter.
A judge sentenced Bartels to four years in prison, then suspended his sentence.
The man charged with shooting Rose is scheduled to be in court this month.
