(KTTS News) — Freezing rain overnight has created icy roads this morning.
It’s expected to be a dangerous morning commute.
Areas north of I-44 could get a glaze to a tenth of an inch today.
Areas along and south of I-44 could get a tenth of an inch to a quarter of an inch, with three-tenths (.30) of an inch possible in Springfield.
Areas southeast of Springfield could get the worst of it, with up to four-tenths (.40) of an inch of ice possible.
There’s an Ice Storm Warning until 3 p.m. today for Christian, Douglas, Webster, Wright, Ozark, Texas and Howell counties.
The rest of the Ozarks is under a Winter Weather Advisory.
Areas west of Springfield area under the advisory until noon, while Greene County and areas east of Springfield are under the advisory until 3 p.m. Monday.
