The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Southeastern Barry County, Christian County, Stone County and Western Taney County until 345 AM CST Tuesday.

* At 733 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE…Radar.
IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…Ozark, Branson, Kimberling City, Forsyth, Highlandville, Hollister, Silver Dollar City, Merriam Woods, Sparta, Reeds
Spring, Rockaway Beach, Indian Point, Branson West, Galena, Taneyville, Shell Knob, Kissee Mills, Bull Creek, Golden, Table Rock, Emerald Beach, Kirbyville, Spokane, Blue Eye, Chain-O-Lakes, Arrow Point, Coney Island, Chestnutridge, Walnut Shade, Ponce de Leon, Edgewater Beach, Ozark Beach, Powersite, Christian Center, Selmore, Garrison, Chadwick, Cape Fair, Lampe and Oldfield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood deaths occur in vehicles.
