The National Weather Service (NWS) in Springfield has issued a Winter Storm Watch for several counties in the KSGF listening area.
The Winter Storm Watch will remain in effect until 6:00 AM Monday for Vernon County, Laclede County, St. Clair County, Hickory County, and Dallas County, MO.
This storm is possible to produce heavy mixed precipitation. Total snow and sleet accumulations will be 2 to 5 inches, with locally higher amounts.
We may also have freezing rain and ice. Ice accumulations greater than a tenth to a quarter of an inch may be possible.
Travel may be dangerous. Power outages and tree damage are possible due to the ice.
