The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter storm warning for the entire KSGF listening area.
The warning will remain in effect until 6 AM Wednesday.

- Polk, MO
- Shannon, MO
- Stone, MO
- Taney, MO
- Webster, MO
- Wright, MO
A significant snowstorm is anticipated, bringing heavy snowfall to the region.
The National Weather Service (NWS) estimates total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches in most areas, with some localized spots potentially receiving up to 14 inches where snow bands form.
Winds may gust up to 20-30 mph, especially along the I-49 corridor, leading to blowing and drifting snow.
Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes.
If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter
storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing. Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help you survive in case you become stranded.
