The National Weather Service has issued Tornado Watch #705 in effect until 9 p.m. for a portion of the KTTS listening area.
Counties included in the watch area are: Barry, Barton, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Greene, Lawrence, Polk, Jasper, McDonald, Newton, Stone and Taney counties. This does include Bolivar, Springfield, Joplin and Branson. Severe weather including severe thunderstorms and possible tornado activity is expected to develop this afternoon until the evening hours.
