Hail larger than quarters may accompany storms moving into the Ozarks overnight Friday into Saturday.
The National Weather Service says those strong to severe thunderstorms will start to spread into southern Missouri by early Saturday morning.
Showers and storms will be ongoing Saturday morning as a cold front moves through the area.
The better potential for severe storms will be south of Interstate 44 Saturday morning, where instability will be a little stronger.
Gusty winds will also occur on Saturday, with gusts up to 40 miles per hour at times.
Temperatures should warm to about 65 by Saturday afternoon.
