Several Shots At Severe Weather Starting Tuesday

The National Weather Service says strong to severe thunderstorms appear increasingly likely from Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night across the Ozarks.

All modes of severe weather are possible, including large hail the size of golf balls, damaging winds up to 70 miles per hour, and a few tornadoes.

Flash flooding will also be possible, especially north of Springfield and in the western Ozarks, where a flash flood watch runs from late Monday night all the way through Thursday morning.

The threat for severe storms and flash flooding continues into Wednesday and Wednesday night, with more chances for large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes.

Forecasters say the threat for storms may persist into Thursday and Friday, but the potential for severe weather and flooding is unclear at this time.

The KTTS Storm Chasers will be here throughout the bad weather to keep you and your family safe, with updates on watches and warnings.
