A team from Springfield-based Convoy of Hope is headed to the Bahamas.
The disaster team will provide solar lights and water filters to people affected by Hurricane Dorian.
Crews will also work with local partners to distribute other relief supplies.
Convoy hopes to have another disaster team positioned in Nashville to respond when Dorian moves up the coast.
