A spokesman for the Springfield School District says a student had to be taken to the hospital after he fell from a tree at Truman Elementary School.
The boy climbed the 25 to 30 foot tall tree during recess.
It’s not clear how far the boy made it up the tree before he fell.
Firefighters were called to get him down, but he fell before they arrived.
The boy was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
There’s no word on the extent of his injuries.
