Social media is stirring with fears of a draft after the United States strike on Iranian General Qassim Soleimani, so much so that the Selective Service saw their servers go down on Saturday.
The Selective Service says that a special legislation from Congress would have to be passed and signed into law before any draft could occur. They have stated on their twitter account they are conducting business as usual.

The Selective Service System is conducting business as usual. In the event that a national emergency necessitates a draft, Congress and the President would need to pass official legislation to authorize a draft. pic.twitter.com/M4tY2dLoX1
