In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, and abiding by new ordinances limiting the number of people who can gather in public, all City of Springfield recycling drop-off center will be closed through April 1, 2020.
Facilities include:
- Yardwaste Recycling Center
- Lone Pine Avenue Recycling Center
- Franklin Avenue Recycling center
- Household Chemical Collection Center.
The Springfield Sanitary Landfill will remain open under normal hours.
People are encouraged to contact their trash hauler in regards to curbside recycling collection service.
If accumulation or storage of recyclables becomes an issue, these items can placed in the garbage until recycling service resumes.
