Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall are likely late Wednesday afternoon off and on all the way through Friday evening.
The National Weather Service says most locations will see an additional one to two inches, but a few areas could get as much as five inches of rain.
Far southern Missouri has a greater chance of experiencing flooding impacts.
Forecasters also say a few locations will undoubtedly experience flash flooding wherever storms train over the same locations over a several hour period.
