Springfield Police are offering emergency alert stickers in a new program to help those with special needs.
You can now pick up stickers from Police Headquarters to put on your car or home notifying first responders that those inside may have special needs that could prevent communication.
Three stickers are available right now,
- Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Dementia or Alzheimer’s
- Autism or Special Needs
Stickers can be picked up at these locations.
- All Police Headquarters
- Empower: Abilities, 2864 St. Nettleton Ave
- Arc of the Ozarks, 1501 Pythian
- The Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Center, 1302 Sunset St.
- Ozark Technical College Disability Support Services
We’re excited to now provide emergency alert stickers that citizens can place on the windows of homes or vehicles to notify first responders of an occupant who may have specialized needs that could create a barrier to communication.
