The Highway Patrol says two people died in a crash Tuesday afternoon on northbound Highway 65 four miles north of Buffalo.
Troopers say a man tried to pass another vehicle and hit an SUV head-on.
Susan McColum, 65, and Matthew Burns, 59, both from Urbana, were killed.
The driver who hit their SUV, 19-year-old Ethan Howard from Lebanon, was airlifted from the scene in serious condition.
