DNA Ties 65-Year-Old Unsolved Murder Case To Missouri Man

DNA evidence has solved a 65-year-old murder case.

Investigators say DNA has tied two Montana teens’ death to Kenneth Gould, a man who had lived in Alton, Missouri.

Gould is accused of the two murders that took place back in 1956.

KY3 reports that the two teens were Patty Kalitzke, a 16-year old girl, and Duane Bogle, her 18-year old boyfriend.

Their bodies were found in Great Falls, Montana.

Detectives say Kalitzke had been raped and both had been shot in the head.

Gould moved his family, at the time a wife and two kids, to Alton in 1967.

Detectives submitted DNA evidence stored since 1956 to Bode Technology in 2019, where they received a match.

The DNA led to Gould. Detectives used DNA from Gould’s children to confirm the results. Investigators say that Gould had never been a suspect in the case before.

Gould died in 2007. He was 79.
