(KTTS News) — A crash on James River Freeway west of Republic leaves one man dead.
The Highway Patrol says 74-year-old Gary Sawyer from Springfield died when the driver of a semi tried to make a U-turn early Saturday morning, blocking the road.
Sawyer’s car hit the passenger side of the trailer.
The crash happened around 4:20 Saturday morning.
Sawyer died at the scene.
