(KTTS News) — Governor Parson is asking the Small Business Administration to issue a disaster declaration in response to an EF-2 tornado and severe storms that hit southeast Missouri.
The declaration would make low-interest loans available for homes and businesses that had extensive damage from the April 5th storm.
A damage survey said at least 37 homes and nine businesses in Bollinger County had major damage from the tornado.
