(KTTS News) — The Arkansas Department of Health says a fire at a sewage treatment plant caused a release of partially treated wastewater into Bull Shoals Lake.
The fire was reported at the Sugarloaf plant southeast of Diamond City, Arkansas.
Repairs are being made at the plant.
People are being urged to avoid primary body contact with the water in the area of Bull Shoals Lake.
The problem does not affect drinking water.
