(KTTS News) — A man who hit a Springfield police officer with his car almost three years ago has pleaded guilty by reason of insanity.
31-year-old Jon Routh appeared in court in Greene County.
He was charged with assault and armed criminal action for the June 2020 incident that left Officer Mark Priebe paralyzed.
Officer Priebe’s family accepted the plea during the court hearing Tuesday.
