(KTTS) – A Monday afternoon accident has left one person dead and another person with serious injuries.
The accident happened just south of Saddlebrook around 3:15 pm.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 55-year-old Sandra Puckett was stopped at a stop sign on Missouri 176 when the driver of a pickup truck going north on U.S. 65 crossed over onto Missouri 176 and hit Puckett’s SUV.
Puckett was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
A passenger in Puckett’s vehicle was also taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the pickup wasn’t injured.
This is troop D’s 57th fatality this year.
