The first People’s Choice Country Awards will be handed out tonight (Thursday 9-28-23) at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House. The awards show, hosted by Little Big Town, will air on NBC/KY-3 beginning at 7 p.m.
Morgan Wallen leads all the nominations with 11 including Artist of the Year, Male Artist and with two songs up for Song of the Year.
In addition, special awards will be given to Toby Keith (“Icon Award”) and Wynonna who will be given the “Champion Award” for her contributions to country music and for championing of other artists over the years.
Fans voted for the awards making the “People’s Choice Country Awards” the second fan voted, The CMT Music Awards being the first.
