| It’s time to clean out your medicine cabinets for any unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications for the 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞-𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐃𝐚𝐲, which will be held at three separate locations across Springfield on Saturday, October 26th, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲-𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀: There is no cost for disposal and all medications, except sharps (needles/syringes), inhalers and glass containers, are accepted. Labels and personal information are not required to be removed. Volunteers and law enforcement will be available at each site to answer any specific medication disposal-related questions. In Fall of 2023, 490 pounds of medications were collected in Springfield/Greene County alone.
